LACFDA’s Board Installation Dinner & Holiday Party

The LACFDA kicked off this festive season with our annual installation of officers and coupled it with a holiday soiree! Ugly sweaters were encouraged, and boy, did you all come through!

From sweaters gaudy with lights and tinsel garlands, to dinosaurs, cows, swag from 7-11, and cats in all sorts of random situations – The parade of festive outfits did not disappoint!

We gathered toys for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and drummed up a cash donation, with a 50/50 Raffle. Thank you all for your generosity and giving spirits!

This year’s installation of officers was conducted by past LACFDA and CFDA president, Fred Nalder. We were happy to welcome Steve Crawford, CFDA’s current president, who traveled from Northern California to attend. Raymundo Perez-Plascencia was installed as this year’s LACFDA president and gave an inspiring speech about his vision for the association’s year ahead. Russell Chemerisov’s time as President was commemorated with a plaque, in gratitude for his leadership. 

We wish Raymundo, the LACFDA, and all of our members, a successful year head!

A Holiday Poem:

T’was three weeks before Christmas, and your association

Had a holiday party to mark the occasion.

All our guests in their sweaters, some with tinsel and lights,

Some with cats shooting lasers right out of their eyes!

There was a raffle for cash, and a collection of toys,

To share with less fortunate young girls and boys.

We installed a new president, swore in this year’s board,

A meal was enjoyed, and lots of drinks poured.
